Dr. Kwame Agyeman Boakye
Dr. Boakye is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of EcoInformatics. He has spent over 30 years in the telecommunications industry serving in a variety of roles, ranging from research to executive management. From 2005 to 2008, he served as the foundation President and Chief Executive Officer of Backbone Connectivity Network (BCN) Limited, a neutral, wholesale telecommunications operator developing a nationwide High Bandwidth Fiber Optic Network infrastructure in Nigeria for broadband access, backbone and other connectivity services.
Prior to BCN, he was Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer for Harris Corporation in the U.S. where he provided technology leadership and management for the corporation while serving as the advisor to executive management on technology investments and the impact of technology on the business. His activities included the management of research and development, technology transfer, engineering productivity, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, standards and developing relationships with partners in industry, government and academia.
He was also the executive angel for Harris businesses in Nigeria and was instrumental in the establishment and growth of telecommunications business.
