Dr. Walter is the Project Senior BioScience and technology integrator.

 

He is a PhD Staff Scientist at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria.

 

He has keen and deep interest, and significant expertise in mitochondrial function, mtDNA, iron overload, organ injury and inflammation in severe anemias such as Thalassemia, Sickle Cell disease and Parkinson's Disease.

 

His contribution to the project is in design, documentation and deployment of the widest practical scope of the diagnostic capabilities of mobile ultrasound.
